APA Webinar: Recording Now Available

SCROLL

The Advanced Packaging Association (APA) recently hosted a webinar focusing on the recyclability of polyamide‑containing flexible packaging and the current status of mechanical recyclability assessments.

During the session, Carmen Roveda (APA Steering Committee Member and Vice‑President, Sealed Air) and Sergi Salvà Sàez (APA Technical Workstream Coordinator, UBE Corporation Europe) addressed common myths surrounding polyamides and provided a fact‑based overview of their role in packaging applications. The speakers explained why polyamides are often discussed critically and how scientific assessments help to clarify their actual impact on recycling processes.

The webinar also highlighted the functional benefits of polyamides, such as mechanical strength, puncture resistance and barrier performance, and how these properties can enable material reduction and improved product protection in packaging design.

A recording of the webinar is now available online for those who were unable to attend or wish to revisit the discussion.
